Its true, sometimes you've to be hard on yourself. You cant be near your parents every time. Its their job to 'set you free' when you grown up. And its your responsibility to be responsible about yourself and take yourself seriously.
Isn't it the cycle? They took care of you when you're a baby, and when you're adult enough they let you grow by give you the space to outgrows yourself. You might get hurt in the process, but I'm sure it taught you a thing or two.
Well, i'm raised by a mom who was independence enough when she was my age to have a job herself and feed herself with the money she earned with her own sweat. And my dad, he was just a boy who works harder than anyone his age cause he wasnt in school more than at 6th grade. Thats the bitter fact which make them discipline on me and Thanks God, now i'm so get used to the reality :)
